 CREATIVE WOMEN ASSOCIATION
The Association of Creative Women was established in July 1999 at the initiative of professional creative women involved in fields of culture, art and science.
It was registered by the Azerbaijan Justice Ministry on December 22, 1999.
The Association goal is to develop national culture, art and science, to raise socio-cultural level of low-income population and to carry out psychological rehabilitation activities with
orphans, refugees and disabled people.
THE CARRIED OUT WORKS
The CWA has created the
Song and Dance Ensemble in "Azeri Ulkeleri" orphanage, which
consist of 11 children-orphans have been prepared by teachers of
the Association to be admitted to the Baku Choreographic School.
Showing of a documentary film "A Handful of Sun" about folklore
creativity of children refugees "Chadyr Shekheri" in Sabirabad
region (July, 2000).
 Organization of charitable exhibitions in the exhibition hall
"Centre of the Spiritual Perfection of Disabled People", -
"Students for Disabled People", "Disabled Children for Disabled
People" and "Artists for Disabled People" (March -June, 2000).
The Creative Women Association, which includes the Children
Fashion Theater headed by Leila Akhundova, Children Collection
"Ecology" headed by Ыrina Gundorina and Zarema Nema-tova as well
as Fashion Collection by designer Kishver Velizade, has taken
part in the Soros Fund's arrangements, Novruz holiday
celebration and Inter-national Fashion
Festival "RAF LINE".
 THE GRANTS AWARDED TO THE
CREATIVE WOMEN ASSOCIATION:
Creation of Web-site of
the Creative Women Association (Institute of Open Society -
Azerbaijan).
Making a documentary film about folklore creativity of children
refugees "Handful of Sun" (Azerbaijan`s office of Internews
Network).
Restoration of the underground station "Halglar Dostlugu".
The Project of Institute for International Cooperation the
German Adult Education Association (IIZ/DVV) "Adult Education in
South Caucasus" (3 month (01-03.2003)courses on "Creative Arts" (ceramic, knitting, patch work, carpeting,
national dolls, souvenirs and other).
